Satoshi winning over Shirona was the plot armour.
Now is basically Dande getting his game arc, and nobody likes Dande, I doubt anyone is gonna care that much.

i dont think ash is gonna win if he somehow managed to win then hats it the show is over he beat the world champion then and i dont think show makers want that to happen they will just introduce another region with the same badges system atleast i thats what i want to happen

If I was forced to choose a plot armor, then I'd choose Ash any day. At least he puts strategy, especially in the most important battles, even if they don't always make sense. Now we have Leon who just kills everything with barely any strategy and proclaims as champion. Now that's shitty plot armor. I'd be embarrassed to call him as champion if I actually saw him.

Can you truely blame the Fans? Its the writers who messed it up.
After all that Buildup Ash just deserves to win, after litteraly 25 Years.
But Dande is so brocken it wouldnt make any sense for him to loose, so him loosing would feel unearned and like a plothole.
The writer realy messed up here, not the Fan.

i mean, ash is fated to win this for the same reason he beat kakui, why dande got his ass handed to him by eternatus, why lusamine ended up going full tentacle monster, ect: the anime writers have to incorporate the main plot points from the games.
this is the second generation in a row were the games stories where written so the player character had canonically won the league on the first try so the anime writers don't have as much leeway as they did with it before gen 7 with it. i also wouldn't be surprised if tcp shoehorned the other champions into and iris becoming champion into rectify the mistakes done with the previous leagues.

Recap episode but it's not necessarily bad.
Particularly loving Koharu's and Tokio's nickname and part ^^ I love how they're both childhood friends, but their relationship to Goh is different but both very wholesome! Both who support him in different ways yet hope for the best for him!
